Forgotten Mormon Teachings
Drew Briney brings his unique perspective and ability to uncover truth that he has honed as an Attorney. Join us on Drew's journey and support his podcast as it will open up lots of paid content that is unavailable otherwise. Find links to a few of his Gospel Study books on our Books Page. From the Substack page:
----------
I love to talk about the restored gospel and its early history (mostly, 1830-1919), especially when that means taking a deep dive. Don’t expect apologetics, sneaky revisionist history, or “just follow the prophet” discussions here. I like cold, hard facts and analyses that are faithful to the teachings of Joseph and Brigham. I believe the water is purest next to the fountain.
Mormon Renegade
This podcast is a really good resource for people interested in Fundamentalist topics. Hosted by a member of the "Branch" in Nevada, Dave Sanders is a good guy who is honestly seeking the face of God. Their website says:
----------
Putting the fun in FUNdamentalism. This is really more than just a statement. I wanted to create a show that wasn't structured like a sacrament meeting or Sunday school. This is a show where two people just get together and talk about gospel principle in a fun non-threating manner.
From the Dust
Sara Decker hosts an amazing podcast that follows, in many ways, Sara's own journey to truth and out of the Mormon cookie cutter. She is finding her path and helping others on their journey. The YouTube page her podcast is on says:
----------
My hope for From the Dust is that it will inspire and encourage each of us to grow in our understanding of who God is and who we truly are as well, and as we share our hearts, we lift each other up.
Mormon to Medium Podcast
We love, love, love this podcast and the Hosts of this show! Read what is said about them on their page:
----------
"Deep emotion can break you, or break you open. I chose the latter, and embrace my gifts" Nannette was a lifetime member of the "Mormon" church until tragedy struck her family. In 2014 her husband was violently murdered. It was that day, her heavenly gifts were cracked wide open and she began to "see". Since then, Nannette has embraced her psychic/medium abilities and burst out of the "Mormon bubble"; growing her spirituality in a whole new way. Join her as she "looks beyond the veil" and uses her gifts, understanding, and years of experience to help others navigate their own spiritual journeys.
A Journey Into Biblical Polygyny
This site is not a Mormon site, rather it is literally a journey - specifically the journey of Sherry White, into the world of Biblical Polygyny. Her introduction says:
----------
A day-to-day journey in the life of a wife/mother in trying to understand and grow in biblical polygyny. Now that her husband has decided to take on biblical polygyny. These are her stories and testimonies of trying to learn, live, grow, and understand the process of biblical polygyny before her soon-to-be co-wife is to join them.
The Kingdom of God, or Nothing
This is a good podcast with much information that both new and experienced seekers can use to further their knowledge and journey. Their page on Blog Talk Radio says:
----------
We are seeking to Gather the tribe of Ephraim and learn to live Gods higher laws so that Zion can be redeemed before the coming of Messiah ben Judah. JST, Genesis 9:21–25. Compare Genesis 9:16–17 ...
Mormon Book Reviews
We love listening to the perspective of Steven Pynakker, as he addresses Mormonism through the lens of an Evangelical Christian while remaining friendly and truly demonstrating the attribute of the Savior in accepting people for who they are and engaging with them regardless if they argree with him. The About page on his Website says:
----------
... Mormon Book Reviews: "Where an Evangelical Encounters the Restoration." The intention of this channel is to be a unique place where all the expressions of the Restoration can intersect with one another. I also plan on offering my "outsider" views on related subjects. This channel will also pursue authors and other special guests to interview. ...
Gospel Tangents
We are at a bit of a loss as to how to describe this podcast that literally delves into everything Mormon. It is touted as "The Best Source for Mormon History, Science, and Theology." From Rick's About page:
----------
Rick Bennett is the friendly, independent historian at the heart of Gospel Tangents Podcast: The Best Source for Mormon History, Science, and Theology. He has presented at Sunstone, Mormon History Association, and John Whitmer Historical Association. When he isn't interviewing LDS scholars, Restoration prophets, and other Mormon experts, he is teaching math and statistics at Utah Valley University. He also freelances in the network television/cable T.V. industries as a sports statistician. Rick holds a Master of Statistics Degree from the University of Utah, and has worked as a research biostatistician in the fields of Dermatology and Traumatic Brain Injuries.
